Free School Meals and Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium is an element of funding that goes into the school budget to support the raising of attainment of pupils from low income homes.  This benefits each eligible child by allowing for extra support, where needed.

Even if your child is receiving free school meals through the Universal Infant Free School Meals system (where every child from Reception to Year 2 receives a free school meal), you will still need to apply for Free School Meals eligibility for the school to receive the Pupil Premium grant.

If your child brings in a packed lunch, you can still apply for Free School Meals eligibility.

Free School Meals can be claimed by Parents/Carers of pupils who are on a low income.
