Sports Premium

Funding for the Sports Premium is based on £16000 plus £10 per pupil (years 1-6) for a full academic year.

Academic Year 2019-20

For the academic year 2019-20, the school is due to receive £17820 from the DfE to improve the quality of sport and PE at St Anne’s.

This will be spent on:-

  • External Sports Coach for two days a week – lunch time and after school activities sessions funded through Sports Premium
  • Learning Enrichment Partnership with Denton Community College which includes 1 hour per week teaching as well as inter-school competitions and staff training
  • Tameside Schools Football Association membership 18-19
  • Professional Development training for staff from sports coaches
  • On-line Cybercoach
  • Transport to inter-school competitions
  • New sports equipment
  • Visitors to provide extra sports clubs requested by School Council
  • Swimming – extra sessions during the Summer term
  • Oldham Athletics sports coach, including lunch time and after school clubs
  • Tameside Sports Partnership 2019-20
  • New playground equipment to facilitate outdoor play and exercise
  • Woodland area to promote outdoor activities

 

Academic Year 2018-19

For the academic year 2018-19, the school received £17760 from the DfE to improve the quality of sport and PE at St Anne’s.  This was spent on:-

  • External Sports Coach for two days a week – lunch time and after school activities sessions funded through Sports Premium
  • Learning Enrichment Partnership with Denton Community College which includes 1 hour per week teaching as well as inter-school competitions and staff training

  • Professional Development training for staff from sports coaches

  • Transport to inter-school competitions
  • New sports equipment including football kits and high pressure pump
  • Visitors to provide extra sports clubs requested by School Council – eg. Dance club
  • Swimming for Year 6 pupils during the Summer term
  • Oldham Athletics sports coach, including lunch time and after school clubs
  • Hyde School Sports Competition Partnership 2018-19
  • East Cheshire Harriers Cross Country fee

  • Visitors to provide extra sports clubs requested by School Council – eg. Yoga/Dance club
  • Swimming for Year 6 pupils during the Summer term
  • Oldham Athletics sports coach, including lunch time and after school clubs
